Nick Groom has been building and renovating property for seventeen years and has broad experience with all styles and ages of property. He is passionate about building design and is a skilled draughtsman and technician. He also has general building experience which is a great asset for designing and planning buildings.
Before moving to Monmouthshire Nick developed and built a variety of styles of property for a number of clients in Bath and Somerset. His property projects include building two thatched Potton Houses near Exeter, renovating and extending a number of listed town and country buildings in Bath and North East Somerset, renovating a derelict village Inn and achieving planning permission for a number of new and period properties.
His current projects include converting a 1960's bungalow into a stylish, four bedroom contemporary family home, a cottage extension in a rural village and a modern detached town house.
Nick has three beautiful daughters, a degree in International Marketing, a mud-splattered Landrover, speaks fluent French and when he has time enjoys fine weather sailing. He can tile a wonky wall to perfection and he cooks a mean curry.
"We've been very pleased with Nick's service; he has remained friendly and
professional throughout the supervision of our building project. Always turning up
on time, he made several site visits and gave excellent planning advice, both
architecturally and on the general renovation work. His help with planning
permission was invaluable and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend him"
